Shipping & Delivery
Authority to Leave (ATL)
All orders are shipped with an "Authority to Leave" (ATL) unless otherwise instructed.
This means couriers may leave your package in a safe location if no one is home at the time of delivery. ATL helps avoid re-delivery fees, which can range from approximately R300–R500 and are at the customer’s expense.
If you prefer your package to be signed for, please notify us in writing before your order is fulfilled.
Processing Times
All orders are processed within 2–4 business days, excluding pre-orders or back-order items. During peak seasons or promotions, processing times may be slightly longer. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor delivery.
Shipping Carriers
We use reliable South African couriers such as The Courier Guy to ensure timely and secure delivery.
Delivery Times
Delivery times are estimated as follows:
- Gauteng & Major Cities: 1–3 business days
- Outlying Areas: 2–5 business days
Please note: These timeframes are estimates and may vary due to courier delays, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
Shipping Restrictions
We cannot deliver to PO Boxes or PostNet branches. Please provide a valid physical address at checkout to avoid delays or additional fees.
Incorrect Address Details
It is your responsibility to provide accurate delivery details. If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided, your parcel may be delayed, returned, or incur extra charges.
Any fees for re-delivery or address updates will be for the customer’s account. We cannot offer refunds for orders where incorrect addresses were supplied.
Delivery Return to Sender
If a delivery is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or refusal of delivery, we will contact you to arrange reshipping. Additional shipping fees will apply, and original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Insurance & Liability
We do not offer shipping insurance. Once a package is marked as ‘Delivered’ by the courier, any issues must be raised directly with the courier. We have limited control at this stage.
If your area is prone to theft or you're often not home, we recommend using a work address or location where someone is available to receive the delivery.
Damaged Deliveries
We are not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit due to courier negligence. If your order arrives damaged, please notify our Customer Support Team at info@burleighwagon.co.za within 48 hours of delivery.
Right to Cancel Orders
We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order if shipping costs to your location are unusually high. In such cases, we will notify you before proceeding with cancellation and refund.
